Microwave Oven!

"One night a year ago last December I decided to pop some popcorn in the microwave. Pushed the special popcorn button , and then I went into the other room. After a little bit I started to smell burning! Went back into the kitchen, and the oven was still on! I probably should not have, but I opened the door to the microwave. Out poured smoke! The popcorn and bag were just ready to actually catch on fire! They were blackened and charred! And the first thing that came out of my mouth, as I opened the microwave door and saw the burning bag,  was......  "Well, at least I've got video!""

Water Heater Wiring!

"I am glad I was home for this one, or my Charlotte home would have been history! This past spring I was working on my computer, and noticed the smell of something burning! It was from the area of the electric water heater! With the smell of burning wire getting stronger, I stood by the door, and the first thing that came out of my mouth was..... "Well, at least I've got video!" It is a moment etched in my mind, as I pondered the possibility of losing everything! Then I quickly shut off the water heater at the breaker box!"

	Fires and other disasters do sometimes happen, and we should prepare for them! You work hard, and you should not have to potentially lose thousands, or even tens of thousands, of dollars in assets just because you could not list, or prove, what you owned prior to a loss!
